Thank you for watching. We have 12 hands on board. 3 x Deck Officers (and 3 x Watch Keepers) who take the watches (4 hours on and 8 off) and 3 x Engineering Officers who do the same. We also have 2 x Coxswains and? a cook. Each boat has 2 x Crews who spend a month at sea at a time.

The Grampian Protector has a Registered length of 39m and Length Over All of 45m. The GRT is 573 Tonnes. Most of what you see in the two clips is us Dodging on Location. This means that we have to keep close to the platform we are looking after and so are going as slow as possible. We must go fast enough to maintain steerage but slow enough to minimise damage to the vessel and lesson the amount of times we have to turn the? boat around. That's why we tend to ride over the waves.
