I'd like to share my thoughts on how to stop alcoholism I being 17 have had quite a bad problem with it weather it was drinking with some buddys and stuff on the? weekend. Or just chillen at home and drinking. Well i realized the first step to realizing that i was a alcoholic was admitting it. if you can't admit you do something to much your addicted. I felt the best way for me personally to get out of this situation was to remove myself and only talk to friends that weren't drinkin for a while.

Ive been sober now for almost 30 days but the abstinens symptoms i have from not getting alcohol is horrible. I never tought that recovery could be this fucking hard. I dont feel the need to drink but my body is killing me. I heard that i takes up to 3 to 6 months to recover. Enough drinking for me.

Thanks Roy. Such as with AA, I don't see any sense in quibbling over weather or not? it is a disease. I think its more important to simply recognize it's addictive nature and the dangers of it, especially over an extended period of time. Good on you for quitting mate.

I quit 6 months ago and it was the best thing i ever did! I don't think that i could? trust my self to have a beer ever again just the tho rt of it makes me sick. It was very hard with physical side effect i was bed ridden for days the Doctor gave me pills to put me to sleep to detox. The bad side is threw all of that i lost a lot of good friends and respect of my family also a lot of money i sold all my stuff just for alcohol just so i could get a bottle of vodka when i needed it.

Trying to give up aswell. I'm welsh and I don't see anydiffrence in drinking levels throughout the UK. We're all as bad as each other as far as drinking is concerned. I'm practically doing the same and this guy on this vid and I'm starting to get fed? up fo spending saturday mornings, sundays and mondays feeling like shite. The price of drink has gone up so much aswell. Its just makes no sense to carry on.

I recently started drinking again and I didn't get an allergic reaction. I had a half pint of vodka. I was? confused why I didn't. The next day I started again and after 2 hours or so I started having the same reaction. I am not Asian or taking any medication. I can literally say I can have a tablespoon of beer and get a reaction. Heart racing, head throbbing, blood pressure behind my head..shallow breathing, vomiting.
