Wrong. I have taken drugs in? the past. My drug of choice was Oxycodone, and contrary to what you said, I did not start taking it because of some deep desire to feel better about myself, or because of peer pressure, as I have always been a very upbeat, confident person, and I have no friends or peers to influence me to take drugs. I started because of an injury, I continued because I enjoyed it, and I stopped because of the inanely strict enforcement.

I respect The former governor of New York, Elliot Spitzer as being a progressive in regards to economic policy and an well-rounded, intellectual but here, his talking points are about as convincing as creationism. And? that goes for the whole, lot of them. They are only a slight measure, more intriguing than Evangelicals Christians as far as there unsubstantiated hyperbole and endless spin jobs are concerned.

People who want to change their consciousness seek or take drugs, not "sick people". It's a innate human desire to change ones consciousness. Our mind is as vast at the whole universe and all people should take psychedelic drugs to venture out of the arena we are shackled to by million years of evolution. Our normal consciousness is what it is because it is best fitted for survival; it's not the be-all end-all of? human experience.

People who are fullfilled don't seek or take drugs. Only a small percentage do through peer pressure. The rest are after being abused in various forms and being in a society which isn't focused on healing. There? should be more healing centers world wide on every street corner than anything else. Instead there are liquor stores, brothels, candy and soda stores, gambling places, dark clubs etc. A healing society doesn't produce sick people.
