no that was with the stock cooler. with fan on auto. I also didnt feel save with that temp so i buyed the accelero xtreme plus 2? and temp never exceeded 65c under load. But now its back to square one with this gpu

110c is not normal...lol are you trying to fry some eggs? I think you had a vga with a broken fan or something I have 3xgtx580 max temps are 76c~78c on full load with vsync off best way is? to keep you cards colder as much as you can for longer durability.

my 6970 used to reach 105c and they say its normal up to 110c, 7970 can reach 80c and still be save? to? play with

i've just tested bf3 standing in the same place... 5870 high/ultra 48fps, 7970 same settings 58? fps, 7970 ultra 38 fps. i will upload the video tonight to show you ;)

Yes that might very well be the case. Overclocked helped me a lot (outside bf3) Yes get? the new CPU, and please comment back about the results. Yes i play BF3 mostly high/ultra no MSAA, HBAO. Getting around 90 fps all the time.

god im shocked that a 960 i7 might be slowing things down. i might over clock and see what i get :) in 8 weeks im getting the new i7's with true pcie3, i think the? new cpu's are 2x the speed of my >old< i7 lol have you tested bf3?

Depending on the game i think the CPU will bottleneck you, atleast mine did so i overclocked it to 4,4ghz. But then again i? have the 7970 at 1230/1750 now.

ok drivers default games max, game AA 8x average 93 fps dark tower 120 fps desert sunrise 95 fps concrete jungle i7 960 norm speed, 6gb ram 1600mhz, 7970 norm speed, 850w psu (got? a 1.2kw psu, but cant be bothered to fit it in this pc as im making a new i7 pcie 3 one in 8 weeks)

P7714 3DMarks? default driver no oc I'll try jc with default driver settings you should always use Catalyst AI Texture Filtering Quality as anything below is a AMD cheat that reduces visual quality ;)

From what i learend you should not change the preset in Catalyst control center. I can not try it now since i dont have the game installed anymore, but that seems weird. Try 3dmark 11? and see what score you get. I got 9500 performance.

Okay, I installed custom? made 12.2 drivers, and now I get 150 average fps in the dark tower with 7970 crossfire. And I can play the campaign too without freezing!
